Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need a doctor's referral for physiotherapy or massage therapy?

A: You do not need a doctor's referral to access these services. Please note however that some insurance companies do require a doctor's referral in order to process your claim for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider for more details.

Q: How do I book an appointment?

A: You can call us directly OR book online.  If you would like to book online, please click on the BOOK NOW buttons or page above to be taken to our online booking portal.  To book by phone please call: 1-519-306-1655.

Q: How many follow-up treatments will I need?

A: The short answer is, it depends. Every patient's injury is unique and many factors dictate how many visits they will require before they are ready to be discharged. After the initial assessment a treatment plan will be discussed, and a general length of treatment will be outlined.

Q: What should I wear/bring to my first appointment?

A: Please bring shorts, and a T-shirt or tank top to all appointments - this way we can easily access the area we are treating.  On the day of your assessment you can also bring along any doctor's notes, test results or other medical documentation that may aid with your assessment and treatment.

Q: Do you bill my insurance company directly?

A: YES!! We are now able to bill insurance companies affiliated with the Telus Portal and Provider Connect online billing portals.  These include (but are not limited to): Blue Cross, Canada Life, Chamber of Commerce, CINUP, Cowan, Desjardins, First Canadian, Industrial Alliance, Johnson, Johnston Group, Manulife, Maximum Benefit, RWAM, Sunlife, Greenshield, and SSQ Financial Group.

Q: Do you accept Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) or Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) claims?

A: YES, we accept both MVA and WSIB claims and bill directly to the respective companies. Keep in mind that all MVA claims must exhaust their private insurance first (if they have extended benefits) before we bill to the MVA insurance.

Q: Are there additional fees if I receive needling (dry needling, acupuncture) within a treatment?

A: NO, there are no additional fees for acupuncture or dry needling; however, your Physiotherapist may suggest booking a 45 minute session if she feels extra time will be necessary to achieve all session goals.  Please note that we cannot bill separately for these services at this time.
