How We Use Massage Therapy
for Your Lasting Recovery
Massage therapy is delivered 1-on-1 by our registered massage therapists (RMTs)—licensed healthcare professionals trained to assess and treat the soft tissues of the body. Using a tailored combination of Swedish massage, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and joint mobilizations, our RMTs address the root cause of muscular pain, tension, and dysfunction—whether from daily postural strain, repetitive workplace demands, sports recovery, or chronic stress. Each session begins with a thorough assessment of your tissue health, posture, and movement, followed by a personalized treatment plan. Beyond symptom relief, therapeutic massage improves circulation, reduces inflammation, breaks down adhesions, calms the nervous system, and promotes restful sleep—supporting your body's natural healing processes. Delivered in a private, calming treatment room at our Shelburne and Orangeville clinics, massage therapy integrates seamlessly with your physiotherapy and wellness care for comprehensive recovery and lasting relief.

Suction-based myofascial release
Cupping therapy is a time-tested manual technique in which specialized cups are placed on the skin to create a controlled suction that draws blood to the surface, releases deep fascial and myofascial adhesions, decompresses tight muscle fibers, and stimulates localized circulation. By lifting tissue rather than compressing it — as traditional massage does — cupping uniquely addresses restrictions in the fascia that can bind muscles and limit mobility. At RISE Physio, cupping is delivered 1-on-1 by our trained physiotherapists and massage therapists, often integrated with manual joint mobilization, dry needling, or acupuncture for a comprehensive treatment approach.
- Suction-based myofascial tissue release
- Increased blood flow & localized circulation
- Releases fascial adhesions & deep tension
- Integrated with manual therapy & acupuncture
Cupping is included within your physiotherapy or massage therapy follow-up visits at our Shelburne, Orangeville, and Tottenham clinics.
